Inviting you to the Masterclass with Mr Matt Wang today at 4:00pm at PIOM Recital Hall!

Matt Wang is a High Performance Music Coach, Pianist, Educator, and the founder of MozartCode. He stands out for being the first and only piano teacher to take an adult absolute beginner to a professional level in a record-breaking three years.

Matt’s teaching talents have led his students to win international solo and chamber competitions, earn prestigious ABRSM or Royal Conservatory ARCT diplomas, and gain acceptance into top universities, such as Stanford, UPenn, Northwestern, Cornell, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and others.

He earned his piano performance certificate from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory after completing a master’s in piano performance at Notre Dame de Namur University. His last principal teachers were Natalia Trull, Dr. Namik Sultanov, Alexander Fomenko, and Thomas Hansen. Matt pursued further chamber music studies with Cary Lewis at Interlochen and Igor Gavrysh at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He’s performed at top venues including Carnegie Hall, Rachmaninoff Hall, and Myaskovsky Hall in Russia. He maintains a strong connection with the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and regularly takes students there for advanced studies, offering them a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich Russian musical tradition.

Outside of music, Matt is a professional pickleball coach and is studying to become a psychotherapist, showing his passion for both physical and mental health.
