Education
Studied piano in Japan under Reiko Kikuchi and Akira Sato. Graduated from Tokyo Collage of Music Artist Diploma course. Studied under Michelle Brock for piano solo, Chamber Music with Rostislav Dubinsky in Indiana University School of Music and earned a Performance Diploma.
Performance
Performed solo piano and collaboration with string instruments, and Chamber music in Japan, Russia, Georgia, Kansas, and California.
Accompanimen for voice, string, and brass student competitions, including at the Georgia state competition level and the Sacramento area. Worked as an string accompanist at the Far Eastern Institute of Arts (Vladivostok, Russia).
Teaching
Over 27 years of professional teaching experience in Japan, Atlanta, Kansas and Folsom (CA).

Akiko’s students have received numerous top prizes in such competitions as Go for the Gold Competition, Classical Master Music Festival, JPTAG Piano Competition, Sacramento Youth Symphony Premier Orchestra Soloist, MTAC Sierra Branch Fall Festival, Steinway Junior Piano Competition, and MTAC Sacramento Memorial Scholarship Audition for Piano Trio.
