
Courtney Tackitt
Piano
Courtney Tackitt is a sought-after pianist who enjoys teaching, performing, and collaborating. Her skills at the piano are called upon regularly for choral, contemporary, solo, and chamber performances. Most recently Ms. Tackitt was invited to perform at the 41st Annual Festival of New American Music in collaboration with fellow alumnus Boyce Jefferies at California State University – Sacramento.
An alumna of CSU – Sacramento she received her BM and MM in Piano Performance under the tutelage of esteemed Steinway Artist Richard Cionco. During her studies Ms. Tackitt performed locally and overseas in Italy and Germany.
Ms. Tackitt has a love for all types of music and actively supports the arts. She has taught private and group piano lessons at Pacific Institute of Music in Folsom for 4 years. Additionally, Ms. Tackitt is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and a number of her students participate in the Certificate of Merit program.
Ms. Tackitt was an adjunct professor at Sierra College in Rocklin teaching Music Appreciation Fall 2017–Spring 2018. She is currently serving as Staff Accompanist at Sierra College where she accompanies their Concert and Chamber Choir as well as collaborates with student instrumentalists and vocalists.
