Young Hee Choe (Liz) is an accomplished flutist and dedicated music educator with over 30 years of teaching experience in the United States and Korea. She holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with renowned flutists Walfrid Kujala and Timothy Day.

Ms. Choe has taught flute at the university level as well as at international schools, working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. She received advanced professional training and performed at the Aspen Music Festival and School, as well as at various prestigious summer music festivals, gaining extensive performance and ensemble experience. She has also earned recognition in numerous competitions and has an extensive background as an orchestral and chamber musician, performing with a wide range of ensembles in both the U.S. and Korea.

Drawing from her rich performance and pedagogical background, Ms. Choe emphasizes solid technical foundations, beautiful tone production, musical expression, and confident performance skills. Her teaching is highly personalized, thoughtfully tailored to each student’s age, level, and goals, making her lessons both structured and inspiring for students from beginners to advanced levels.
